Reliance and Google joint deal to develop affordable smart phones in India, using google android OS.

Xiaomi, oneplus, Redmi, Oppo and other Chinese companies has captured almost 70% of Indian market and Indian peoples were looking towards Indian companies to manufacture affordable smart phones in india to support “Made in India” campaign. After India-China conflicts on LAC, Indian people are supporting “Ban Chinese products” campaign in India although they are using Chinese phone since no other competitor of these Chinese company in Indian market. No other big mobile phone manufacturer company in India which can compete giant Chinese smart phones in Indian market. Reliance and google partnership is big hope for Indian people to get something amazing and innovative product by Indian company collaboration with google.

Reliance industries is multinational company headquarter in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Reliance owns business across India and engaged in retail, petrochemical, refining, energy, telecommunication, and many more units. Reliance industries market is not only in India, it is also India’s largest exporter and developing various products in India.

Reliance has already been entered in Indian telecommunication market and got massive support by Indian people. Reliance industries limited has launched its most innovative network platform reliance Jio in India and it became publicly available on September 2016. As of 17 July 2020, it became largest mobile network in India and third largest mobile network operator in the world with over 387.5 million customers. It uses voice over LTE to provide voice service on its 4G network. Jio is providing cheapest data packs in India. Jio is providing 1GB of mobile data at just 18.5(USD 0.26) as compared to global average of about Rs 600, research by price comparison site cable.co.uk.

Reliance Jio has also launched its fibre to home service in September 2019, which is offering home broadband, television, and telephone services.

RIL has also designed and  developed a complete 5G solution from scratch.

In Annual general meeting Mukesh Ambani Said - ”This made in India 5G solution will be ready for trials as soon as 5G spectrum is available and can be ready for field deployment Next year”.  Jio is planning to export is solution to other telecom operators globally.

Google has announced $4.5 billion investment in reliance limited owned Jio platforming return will get 7.73% stake in company. This investment is pending to regulatory of India as of 17 July 2020.

The main goal of this partnership to accelerate digital economy of India by developing affordable 4G/5G smart phones in India.

Sundar Pichai, CEO of google parent company Alphabet, said- “Through this partnership with Jio platforms we see the chance to have an even greater impact than either company could have alone.”
